LASC are delighted to announce that we received 3 "Excellents" and 1 "Very Good" in our 2010 Care Commission audit. This is the highest review received by an After School Club in Edinburgh and the Lothians which is a fantastic achievement by all our personnel. As always we aim to continually improve on our standard of child care offered and we are currently addressing the recommendations made by the Commission.
We are delighted to inform you that our annual Ceilidh and Raffle held on Friday 8 th October was a huge success and raised the fantastic sum of £400.00. Thank you very much for all those who attended, donated raffle prizes and bought/sold raffle tickets your continued support is very much appreciated by all.
We raised the fantastic amount of £131.47. We held various activities through the week such as a bake sale and everyone wearing their pyjamas!! Thanks to everyone who joined in and supported us.
The LASC put their vocal cords to the test and brought in the festive season by carol singing at Costco on Sunday 12th December.
We managed to raise an amazing £831.35 and this was a great success. All funds raised will go towards play equipment and crafts for the three LASC campuses. A huge thank you to all the people who came to sing or offer moral support. LASC would also like to thank Costco for their support in this festive event.
A competition to design a Christmas Card was run between all the Loanhead After School clubs. Our winning picture was designed by Rosie aged 11. Congratulations Rosie.
The Christmas cards are for sale at £2.50 for 5 cards or £4.50 for 10.
The cards would be ideal to send to special family members and friends.
The LASC and nursery will be closed from 6.00pm on 23rd December 2010 and opens 6th January 2011. The Staff and Board of Directors take this opportunity to wish everyone a peaceful and relaxing festive break. And see you all in 2011.
The Loanhead After School club are delighted to announce that our baby room ( 3months +) will be opening its doors in April 2011. We look forward to meeting our youngest recruits who will all be supervised by our trained and experienced nursery personnel, who all have a true passion and flair for caring and developing your baby.
