The BIG LASC sleep over for P1's and above will be on the 15th June, this has proved a popular event over the years and we have some great workshop taking place. Should you wish you child to attend this fantastic fundraiser which will be full of fun and activities please speak to a member of staff to register. We will also be looking for parents help on the night so any volunteers are welcome to come along.
Our Community Nursery and ASC children and staff are dressing up in army camourflage. We will also be dressing up the bus. We will be hiding where's Wally and friends amongst the army camo faces that the children have drawn. I wonder who will spot the Wally's on our journey?
If you would like to join us in the parade it would be great if you could come dressed in army camo too. As this is an out of school activity, we ask that you take responsibility of your own children.

Loanhead After Schools Club and Community Nursery will be holding a Family Ceilidh in the Large Hall at Loanhead Miners Club on Friday 1st March 2013 from 7pm to 10pm. Tickets priced £6 for adults and £4 for children can now be purchased from each of the After School Clubs in person or on the numbers below:

With all the Loanhead schools now back, children settled into their classes, and with Santa having twelve months to wait before his next visit we are all now full speed into 2013.
If 2012 is anything to go by there will be so many new adventures, challenges, friends and exciting things to learn and experience within the new year.
We hope 2013 holds true for all our parents and carers too. If you need any additional help with your childcare please do not hesitate to speak to Jennifer or Laura in the Nursery, and John, Vicky or Gemma in the After School Clubs. As part of the LASC strategic training & development plan for our team we hold an annual Development Day' which will be held on the 13th January 2013. Annually part of the session focuses on what has acheved over the last year against objective targets. Targets for the forthcoming year are agreed and form an integral part of our business plan.

It was agreed at the Loanhead After Schools Club Management Board Meeting on the 18th September 2012 that there will be a modest increase in fees. This will allow us to continue to deliver our unique flexible service to you. The new fee structure as stated on the documents linked below will take effect from Monday 7th January 2013. The last fee increase was in May 2010.

Please note that from Saturday 24th November we will be holding a weekly Bonus Ball fundraiser for every Saturday night draw to raise funds to replace or Minibus for the benefit of all our children for outings etc.
You can buy a number for £2 per week and if your number comes up as the Bonus Ball in the Saturday night Lotto draw and we have sold all 49 Bonus Balls you win £49 and the other £49 will go towards our fund for a new minibus. If we do not sell all 49 balls the monies raised will be split in the event of a win or ‘rollover’ if no winner.
In order to start this off we would like parents, family or friends to purchase the first five weeks upfront by paying £10 for 24th November and 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd December. Should you wish to keep the same bonus ball you can do so by continuing to pay the £10 per month in advance by cash.

Our Children will soon become budding recording artsists vying for the top of the charts Christmas number one!! We will be making good use of our transmedia studio and recording our Christmas songs onto a CD which will be available for you to purchase closer to santas arrival.
